GLIDE Workforce Development

Building Pathways to Employment, Careers, and Economic Mobility

Meaningful employment is one of the most powerful tools for creating lasting change. Workforce Development is about more than finding a job—it is about empowering individuals with the skills, confidence, support, and opportunities needed to achieve economic independence.

Our approach recognizes that every person’s journey is unique. Many individuals face barriers to employment, including housing instability, limited work experience, justice involvement, gaps in education, transportation challenges, or other life circumstances. GLIDE meets people where they are, providing individualized support that helps participants overcome these barriers.

Our Workforce Development Philosophy

  1. Step 1

    Person-Centered Services

Every participant receives individualized service plans based on their strengths, interests, goals, and aspirations.

  2. Step 2

    Coordinated Care

Employment success requires more than technical skills. We coordinate supportive services, case management, coaching, and referrals to help participants address barriers in ten different life domains and attain the stability necessary for long-term employment.

  3. Step 3

    Career Pathways

We focus on careers—not just jobs. Participants gain the skills, certifications, industry exposure, and employer connections needed for long-term career growth and economic mobility.

  4. Step 4

    Employer Partnerships

We work closely with employers, labor unions, educational institutions, apprenticeship programs, and community partners to create direct pathways into quality employment opportunities.
