Overview

Thank you for your interest in supporting GLIDE! Here are some ways to get involved:

1. Grant Funding
GLIDE is grateful for all our corporate supporters who allow us to fulfill our mission of alleviating poverty. We seek grant funding and programmatic sponsorship that supports our diverse programs and operations. Please reach out to development@glide.org for more information.

2. Event Sponsorships
GLIDE hosts two annual fundraising events, our Summer Gala and our Holiday Jam, offering sponsorship tiers that range from $5,000 to $250,000. Benefits include social media shout-outs (132,000+ followers), website and newsletter features (distribution to 60,000+), and promotion in event brochures. For more information, please reach out to development@glide.org.

We also seek sponsorship for two annual programmatic events: our Fall Carnival street festival for families and children, and our Holiday Toy Giveaway, where 500 low-income children in the Tenderloin receive a customized bag of brand new holiday gifts. Sponsors receive exclusive access to our most popular volunteer shifts of the year for up to 120 volunteers. Sponsorships range from $10,000 to $75,000. For more information, please contact Lindsey Coonan at lcoonan@glide.org.

3. Corporate Volunteerism
GLIDE needs over 60 volunteers a day, every day, to help us prepare and serve meals to people experiencing hunger and food insecurity. We serve 3 hot meals a day, 7 days a week, 363 days a year- serving over 1,700 meals each day.

Adopt-a-Shift Program & Days of Service
Increase employee engagement and corporate volunteerism by reserving quarterly or monthly volunteer shifts for up to 25 volunteers. This makes volunteering simple, sustainable, and a great way to gather workers for team building and community engagement. GLIDE can also help you plan a Day of Service combining volunteerism, learning, and guided team reflections.

How Do I Sign Up to Volunteer?
You can sign up for one of our volunteer shifts on our online calendar at glide.org/volunteer/

If you have more than 12 people in your group, email us at volteam@glide.org and we can manually increase the number of volunteers in your party to the shift maximum (25).

Purchase and Assemble Hygiene Kits
If your company can purchase bulk personal care items, we can help facilitate an in-office volunteer activity to purchase and assemble hygiene kits. More information on our Hygiene Kit Volunteer opportunity can be found here.

Holiday Volunteer Opportunities:
All volunteer opportunities related to Thanksgiving, including special group Holiday Prep Shifts, will be added to our online calendar on November 2nd at 9am. All volunteer opportunities related to our Christmas Eve Prime Rib Luncheon and Christmas will be added on December 1st at 9am.
Shifts on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas day are reserved for individuals, families and friends only. We cannot make reservations for these shifts before they are posted online. These shifts fill up fast, so we recommend booking as soon as they are posted.
