Planning Your Visit
to Glide Memorial Church
Our Sunday Celebrations
Read specifics about our next upcoming service on our Weekly Updates page.
WHEN: Our weekly Sunday Celebrations are 9:00 and 11:00 am, typically an hour and a half long.
WHERE: Join us in person at 330 Ellis Street, in San Francisco’s historic Tenderloin District. We are located at the intersection of Taylor and Ellis; please use the Taylor Street entrance. The Sanctuary is on the second floor, with an elevator available.
VIRTUAL OPTIONS: Every service livestreams to Facebook and YouTube, and you can dial in by phone at (855) 412-3177.
ON-SITE WORSHIP OPTIONS: On the street level, in Freedom Hall, a group of people watch the service on video while eating pastries, drinking coffee, charging cell phones and hanging it in a casual space. Upstairs, via elevator or stairs, you can worship in the Sanctuary with our worship team, Glide Ensemble and The Change Band. There are bathrooms located on both floors and our ushers will be glad to show you where they are.
HOW TO GET HERE: We encourage public transportation; the church is just a ten minute walk from Powell Street BART and also nearby many bus lines. We do not have on-site parking. Paid parking is available at HPM Parking (233 Ellis St San Francisco) or Mason O’Farrell Parking (325 Mason St San Francisco).
SAFETY: Faith calls us not to avert our eyes from human suffering, but treat all humans as siblings. The neighborhood in which our church is immersed offers many sacred opportunities to serve and witness those in need. Should you spot someone in crisis while en route to church, please call GLIDE’s Front Desk (415) 674-6199 so a Community Ambassador can be dispatched to render assistance. To ensure your safety on church grounds, GLIDE’s Safety Team (trained in nonviolent and culturally responsive communication) will be on site; please ask for help from anyone wearing a yellow shirt.
WHO: We welcome EVERYONE to our Sunday Celebrations! In fact, diversity is not only welcomed, but celebrated! That’s why our weekly worship time is called Sunday Celebration.
WHAT: Our Celebrations are designed to revive your faith, heal the parts of you that might have been injured in other churches or worship experiences and start your week with joyful affirmations and support. Expect world-class music, heartfelt prayer, and stirring sermons.
